Washington’s, a new live music venue, is seeking an experienced Box Office Manager. The Box Office Manager is responsible for the ticketing operations for two Fort Collins live music venues: Washington’s and the Armory. The Box Office Manager will lead a team of employees with a focus on accuracy and exemplary guest service. The role will report to the Live Music Manager.
Washington’s is a new mid-size music venue that will present quality contemporary music from all genres. The venue will showcase local, regional, and national acts. It is slated to open in early 2018 in downtown Fort Collins at 132 Laporte Ave. Washington’s will complement the current music scene in Fort Collins and will be an important link to the activities at Fort Collins’ Music District.
Washington’s is a Bohemian entity. Bohemian includes a variety of Fort Collins based entities, including Washington’s; Bohemian Foundation; Bohemian Companies; the Music District; and additional entities.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of three years of ticketing experience in the entertainment industry and a minimum of two years in managing, developing and mentoring staff. Successful candidate will have proven interpersonal skills including communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure. Experience in managing, developing and mentoring staff is necessary as well as the ability to effectively manage schedules and budgeting. Candidates must place a high value on integrity and doing the right thing. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field; and experience in the live music industry that includes working with artists. Experience working as part of or closely with a non-profit organization is also preferred.
Physical requirements for the position include the following: ability to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time, work in varying physical environments, ability to lift and move excess of 50 lbs. as necessary during the normal flow of the day-to-day workload preferably unassisted.
